What do I need to bring for registration?You must present an ID. There will be designated registration areas for general/student admission and VIP/speaker/sponsor admission.

Where can I view the conference schedule?The conference-day schedule will be updated in the coming weeks. Tune in here or our social media.

Where can I get food and drink at TEDxCUNY?A selection of snacks and refreshments will be available throughout the day. John Jay College has an available cafe, and there are numerous food options nearby the venue.

Can I take photos or videos during the talks and performances?During talks and performances, we request that all cell phones are silent or turned off. Absolutely no recording devices or flash photography will be permitted. All talks and performances will be available online after the conference.

What should I wear?Anything you are comfortable in and expresses who you are! We do not have a dress code.

KATIERA DICKINSON
Co-Organizer/Licensee
Katiera is a senior at the Macaulay Honors College at John Jay College, where she is majoring in Forensic Psychology, minoring in Africana Studies, and obtaining a certificate in Dispute Resolution. She has been a fan of TED for a long time, and is thrilled to be a part of this team. During her free time, she enjoys listening to music and watching movies with friends.
SAJIDA AHMED
Co-Director of Speakers & Programming
Sajida is a Macaulay Honors sophomore at Hunter College double majoring in Arabic and English Literature. She is passionate about amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities and storytelling through art forms. In her free time, Sajida enjoys browsing through interior design blogs and practicing calligraphy!
KATHERINE GRIVKOV

Katherine is a Macaulay Honors student and political science major at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is passionate about expanding economic opportunity through access to higher education. In her free time, Katherine likes to read memoirs, trying new food spots with her friends, and playing marching band tunes on the alto saxophone!

Aliyah is a Macaulay Honors Junior at Baruch College with a major in Marketing and a minor in Graphic Arts. She is passionate about learning new creative software programs and coding webpages. During her free time, she enjoys baking, spending time with friends, and keeping up with makeup trends.

Syeda Tabassum is a Macaulay Honors student at Brooklyn College pursuing an interdisciplinary major combining Computer Science, Ethics, and Urban Studies. Aside from her interest in tech, she is especially passionate about the intersection of art and culture in New York City.

Emily Madray is a sophomore at the Macaulay Honors College at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, who is majoring in Sociology and double minoring in Human Rights Studies and English. She is passionate about cultivating positive change and advocating for justice in every situation she is in. In her free time, she enjoys reading mystery and thriller novels, watching crime television shows, and practicing her faith.

Maya is a sophomore at the Macaulay Honors College at Baruch College. She is double majoring in English and Journalism/Creative Writing and minoring in Law & Business. She is passionate about words, both using them and reading them. In her free time, she enjoys writing articles, poetry and fiction; drawing and debating.

Christie is a Macaulay Honors Junior at Brooklyn College with a major in Business Administration (Marketing) and a minor in Film. They are passionate about community building and entertainment media. In their free time, Christie is always finding new music and tv shows, or exploring the city.

Nicole is a sophomore at the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College, where she is studying Human Biology and Chinese on the pre-physician assistant track. She is passionate about public health. In her free time, she enjoys making jewelry and trying new cuisine.

Saanavi Goyal is Computer Science Major and Business Management and Administration Minor at City College of New York. Saanavi is really passionate about TED talks, and loves listening to them at all times. She also enjoys dancing (especially bollywood) and reading non-fiction books!
